➡️Updating the Plans
To replace a plan, first open the side menu of a plan by clicking the three vertical dots in the top right corner of its tile next to its name. Then, under the Files section, click the 🔄 icon next to either the PDF or the DXF file and select the new file you want to use to replace the old one.
- For minor changes in the plan, it is usually sufficient to replace the PDF file of the plan and manually adjust the relevant tasks. For major changes, the DXF file can be replaced and the task updates processed. Since CENDAS synchronizes across all devices, everyone will then work directly with the current plans. Finally, the corresponding item in the revision task checklist is checked off.
- If you upload a new DXF or DWG file as a revision, you will be taken to the revision screen. This shows exactly where a task needs to be moved and/or deleted.
Essentially, there are exactly 3 cases that can occur here:
|
1) A former component is no longer present on the new plan and can be deleted if desired. Note: It is possible that this component has already been worked on at the construction site. In that case, it should be checked whether the documentation in the task is important and should be retained (e.g., in the case of dismantling). |
|
|
2) The position of a component in the plan has been moved. The red task marks the old position, the green one the new. Here, the red task can be deleted and the green task created. Note: Beforehand, check in the plan view whether the old task has already been worked on and if the move may result in additional costs. |
|
| A new component has been added for which there is no task yet. This must be created manually. |
- Replacing the PDF file only changes the plan’s view. This can be helpful if the view automatically generated from the DXF file does not meet expectations. Please make sure the PDF was exported without margins.
- Replacing the DXF file replaces the entire plan, and a new PDF file is also generated. This process may take a few minutes.
- Please note the following when uploading: Only a plan with the same format as the previous one can be replaced (.dxf replaces .dxf, .dwg replaces .dwg).
- The aspect ratio of the plans must be identical; otherwise, shifts may occur. We ask you to pay attention to this when creating the plans.
